One-Time Project · $1,000 Flat

Before You Can Fix It,
You Need to Know What's Broken.

The DIG is a one-time financial diagnostic. We get into your books, your software, and your numbers — find the gaps, the leaks, and the blind spots — and give you a written report with a clear action plan.

You Can't Fix What
You Can't See.

Most business owners we talk to have a gut feeling something's off — but they don't know exactly what. They're busy running jobs, managing crews, and chasing invoices. Nobody's had time to actually sit down and look at the numbers.

The DIG is designed for that moment. Before you hire a bookkeeper, before you bring on a fractional CFO, before you make any big financial decisions — you need a clear picture of where you actually stand.

You have no idea what your cash flow looks like 90 days out

You've never had a real financial review done

Discover. Investigate. Guide.

Three phases. One flat fee. A clear picture of your financial situation and exactly what to do about it.

We Find Out What You Actually Have

We dig into your books, your software, your processes, and your financials. We're not looking for what's pretty — we're looking for what's real. What data do you have? What's missing? What's being tracked wrong?

What This Covers

  • Review of your current books and accounting setup
  • Assessment of software stack (QuickBooks, Buildertrend, Adaptive, JobTread, etc.)
  • Cash flow and revenue pattern analysis
  • Payroll and expense structure review
  • Identification of missing financial infrastructure

  • Job costing accuracy and margin analysis
  • Tax exposure and compliance gaps
  • Cash flow timing issues and risk areas
  • Bookkeeping errors and reconciliation problems
  • Software integration failures and data gaps

The DIG Is Built for Owners Who...

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from The DIG. You just need to be serious about knowing where you stand.

You're doing $500K–$5M in revenue

You've grown past the point where winging it works, but you don't have a financial team in place yet.

You don't know your real numbers

You look at your bank account to gauge how you're doing. Your P&L doesn't match what you feel like you're making.

You're too busy to figure it out yourself

You know something's off but you don't have time to dig through your own books. That's exactly what we do.

You want to know before you commit

You're not ready to hire a fractional CFO or sign up for monthly services. You want to see what you're dealing with first.

Common Questions About The DIG

What do I get at the end of The DIG?

A written report that covers what we found, what it means for your business, and a prioritized list of what to fix — plus a 30-minute call to walk through it together.

Do I have to hire Blackline after The DIG?

No. The report is yours. You can take it to any accountant, CFO, or bookkeeper — or handle it yourself. We'll tell you what needs to be done regardless of who does it.

What if I want Blackline to fix what you find?

We'll give you a clear proposal for ongoing services based on exactly what we found. The $1,000 DIG fee is credited toward your first month if you move forward with us.

How long does The DIG take?

Typically 5–7 business days from when we receive access to your books and software. We'll schedule the debrief call once the report is complete.

What do you need from me to get started?

Read-only access to your accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.), your project management or job costing tool if you have one, and a 20-minute kickoff call to understand your business.

Is $1,000 a flat fee?

Yes. $1,000 flat, paid upfront. No hourly billing, no scope creep, no surprises. That's the price regardless of what we find.

Stop Guessing.
Start Knowing.

$1,000. One time. No commitment. A clear picture of where your business stands financially — and exactly what to do about it.
